Alisa has been part of the team since the beginning of 2019, when she started as a Benefits Planner. On any given day, Alisa can be found assisting with annuity calculations, providing custom recommendations for annuity terms and premiums, answering Medicaid eligibility questions, and researching state-specific Medicaid regulations. She provides assistance with roadblocks associated with the Medicaid planning process, including expediting annuity contracts, avoiding immediate tax consequences, handling non-compliant annuities, and dealing with issues with the Medicaid application.
Alisa earned her associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay where she had a double major in Political Science and Democracy and Justice Studies and a minor in Business Administration. Alisa has prior experience as a probate and estate paralegal, which taught her the importance of attention to detail and building invaluable client relationships. She also learned about the estate planning process and the importance of planning ahead. Alisa is a Notary Public and a licensed insurance agent.
Alisa is detail-oriented, a good communicator, and understands the value of building loyal relationships and providing high-quality customer service. She has a strong sense of urgency, especially in the Medicaid application process, and she appreciates the opportunity to advocate for seniors and their loved ones who are experiencing a very stressful time. Alisa loves being able to help others achieve their financial goals and know that they are getting the care they deserve.
In her free time, Alisa enjoys watching movies, shopping, hiking, traveling, and spending summer weekends at the family cottage. She spends a lot of her time outside of work with her fiancé, Brent, and their two dogs, Brody and Charlie.
