Nursing and Residential Care Jobs up 8,000 in June

According to information published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nursing and residential care facilities experienced an increase of 8,000 jobs during the month of June. This was the fifth month in a row that showed growth in care jobs””a promising trend for long-term care facilities.

 

Despite the increase, employment in this area is still below the pre-pandemic high point in July 2019. Additionally, assisted living communities, continuing care retirement communities, and skilled nursing facilities are experiencing slower employment upturns when compared to other areas of the healthcare industry.
